When you send an enquiry through the form on this site, we collect:

• your name
• your business name, if you give it
• your email address
• your phone number, if you give it
• what your business does, if you describe it
• what you would like to improve

If you email us, book a discovery call or talk to us during a project, we also hold the contents of that correspondence and any notes we make about your requirements. Where you book a call through our external scheduling link, that provider collects the details you enter under its own privacy policy.

We do not ask for special category data, and we do not knowingly collect information about children.

• To respond to your enquiry and arrange a conversation. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — you have asked us to get in touch, and replying is what you would expect.
• To prepare a blueprint, prototype, quote or proposal. Legitimate interests before an engagement starts, and performance of a contract once it does.
• To deliver and support the work we have agreed. Performance of a contract.
• To keep proper business and accounting records. Compliance with our legal obligations.

We do not use your details for unrelated marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list without asking, and we never sell your information to anyone.

We keep the list of people who touch your data as short as we can. Your enquiry is stored in the database that runs this website, hosted by our infrastructure and cloud hosting providers on our behalf. Our email provider handles our correspondence with you, and our scheduling provider handles bookings you make through the discovery-call link.

These providers act as our processors under contract and may store data outside the UK. Where that happens, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as UK international data transfer agreements or the equivalent standard contractual clauses.

During a project, we may also need access to systems you already use. We only use that access for the work agreed with you, and we hand it back or have it revoked when the work ends.

We may disclose information where the law requires it, or to our accountants and professional advisers where necessary.

If an enquiry does not lead to work together, we keep it for up to 12 months and then delete it. If we do work together, we keep project records for the duration of the engagement and for six years afterwards, which is the period our accounting and tax obligations require. You can ask us to delete anything we are not legally required to keep.

Access to enquiries is restricted, connections to this site are encrypted, and our database blocks public access to submitted enquiries. No system is perfect, but we take security seriously and would tell you promptly if a breach affected your data.

This website does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics profiling. Only the technical cookies needed to serve the site securely may be set. If we ever add analytics, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy
• have inaccurate details corrected
• ask us to delete data we no longer need
• ask us to restrict how we use it
• object to processing based on our legitimate interests
• receive your data in a portable format
• withdraw consent where we have relied on it

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

We will update this page if what we do with data changes, and the date at the top will always tell you when it last changed. Our Terms of Business sit alongside this statement.
